This will be a group limited to five artists each in
September 8 - October 15 2008 The Oil Painters workshop will take you to a higher level of Confidence and Creativity. Enjoy an exciting evening in Pioneer Square. A beautiful view and an inspiring Studio environment and Gallery. Join with other students to develop your knowledge, skills and personal creative style. The Oil Painting Workshop teaches the fundamental of the Classical Realist technique. You will develop knowledge and confidence in using the best tools and materials, paint mixing, color theory and the steps that take the student from the initial sketch through each type of paint layering to the final highlights. The Oil Painting Workshop is designed to give students the knowledge and confidence to become comfortable and creative in using the magnificent medium of Oil Paint with methods and materials used by Classical Masters. Painting Demonstrations and individual instruction and practice in each class give each student new and complete insights for using the basic primary color pallette, subject development from thin wash to thick impasto, mixing accurate colors in the correct value and tone, how and when to use paint mediums and the fine art of glazing.
